OUTDATED. DONT USE THESE ANYMORE, USE SETTLEMENTS.

How to recognize a settlement to make it an official city[]

CITY MUST LOOK COOL[]

Your unrecognized city has to meet the following requirements:

  • 15 Houses (or 15 tents if the faction is Orcish) with a minimum size of 3 x 4, they must look like houses (and not like cells), and they must have minimal furniture made up of Bed, Workbench, Chest, Door and One Window.
  • Warehouse, with a minimum size of 5 x 5, it must look like a separate structure or a internal room if you have a palace or a castle where you can build it. The warehouse must have a minimal furniture made up of 6 chests, Workbench, Door.
  • Armory, with a minimum size of 5 x 5, it must look like a separate structure or a internal room if you have a palace or a castle where you can build it. The armory must have a minimal furniture made up of Chest, Workbench, 6 filled Armor stands, 6 filled Weapons rack, Door.
  • Great Hall or Castle or Bastion, with a minimum size of 20 x 20, it must look like a separate structure, it can also contain, if you want, other structures (like Warehouse, Armory). You can build it how you want, there are no requirements in furniture, the only real requirements is that it must look good and well built.
  • Town Hall: with a minimum size of 5 x 5. It must look like a separate structure or an internal room if you have a palace or a castle where you can build it. The Town Hall must have a minimum of furniture made up of 2 chests, Workbench, Door, 2 Windows, a meeting table with chairs and a throne.
  • Walls: they must encircle the city or at least a great part of it. The walls must have a minimum height of 4 blocks and minimum thickness of 3 blocks.
  • Entrance Gate: it requires a gate that has a minimum size of 2 x 3. The entrance gate is the door which allows you to enter and exit the city and is located among the walls.
  • Cultivated Fields, with a minimum size of 5 x 5 crops (water excluded). In these fields you can plant what ever you want, like potatoes, carrots, turnips, wheat, grapes and other. An orchard of fruit trees does not count as a field.
  • You must choose a name for your city and write it in the gate using a chisel or a sign.

When all is done, contact the owner and he will inspect, and, if all is ok, your city will be recognized.

Other structures that aren't required[]

Other structures will help your city to grow bigger, richer and more respected. And of course, if you haven't ideas of what structures your city doesn't have, look this list.

  • Baths, a good structure where your inhabitants can shower (Though the NPCs are too dumb to do that). It requires a pool of water with a minimum size of 3 x 3 blocks. it must look like a separate structure or an internal room if you have a palace or a castle where you can build it.
  • Production Fields: with a minimum size of 5 x 5 blocks. In these fields you can plant what ever you want, like flax, pipeweed and other. Fruit trees and commestible plants (like wheat) are not valid production fields.
  • Farm: with a minimum size of 5 x 5. It must look like a separate structure and it must cointain at least 3 animals for farming.
  • Orchard: with a minimum size of 5 x 10. In these fields you can plant what ever you want, like apple trees, olives, plums and others. it must look like a separate structure. It must contain at least 3 fruits trees. All the trees can't produce fruits aren't valid for the orchard.
